    Dr. Lance Knaub is the President and co-owner of BREAKTHRU Fitness & Physical Therapy. In his role, he ensures quality, evidence- based care applying the most recent literature and research in the field drawing on over 18 years of experience in health and fitness. BREAKTHRU has been recognized nationally as the ‘Best Physical Therapy Practice in the Nation’ by Advance newsmagazine by a panel of Physical Therapy peers for its excellence in clinical care, innovation, and personalized attention. Lance earned his BS in Exercise Science from Rutgers University and Honors BSc in Physical Therapy from Robert Gordon University in the United Kingdom, graduating at the top of his class. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy at UMDNJ. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Lance is a dedicated and innovative clinician, educator, and researcher with a focus on Sports Medicine, Sports Performance, and Injury Prevention. His philosophy is proactive and holistic – looking at the entire body and movements in multiple planes – emphasizing injury prevention, performance enhancement, and health and fitness. He has advanced manual therapy skills and utilizes a hands-on approach with his patients and clients. He served as the Team Physical Therapist for Haddon Township high school football and for the South Jersey Jaguars semi- pro football team for several seasons. Lance has experience in treatment of brain injury and has an interest in concussion prevention and management, and has established public education seminars to help raise public awareness. BREAKTHRU has developed head and neck strengthening programs together with Mike Wolf, former NFL and Philadelphia Eagles Strength and Conditioning Coach to minimize concussive forces to the head and brain. These programs are incorporated into BREAKTHRU’s sports performance training programs to minimize the risk of injury. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Doctorate Program at UMDNJ-Rutgers program, Lance teaches in the areas of Orthopaedics, Anatomy, and Exercise Physiology. He has taught the Knee joint including ACL post operative rehab for 10 years. Lance has completed pilot study research as part of his Doctorate on rehabilitation for shoulder Impingement Syndrome and Rotator Cuff tears. He has presented at area Sports Medicine Symposiums and to the APTA Southern District meeting on various Sports Medicine topics. He presented at the APTA’s Private Practice National Meeting on how BREAKTHRU achieved its National Best Practice recognition and differentiates itself. Lance lives in Medford with his wife Jodi Goldman, daughters Sage and Sierra, and son Aspen. When he is not working, he enjoys exercising, the outdoors, hiking, camping, traveling, and is always ready for a pick-up basketball game.

  • Jodi Goldman

    Doctor of Physical Therapy, Partner

    Dr. Jodi Goldman is the Executive Director and co-owner of BREAKTHRU. She is a physical therapist who emphasizes a holistic approach and wellness in treatment. Through her experience with arthritis/rheumatology, neck and spine pain, balance/movement disorders, orthopedics, and chronic pain, she applies her expertise in bringing physical therapy together with fitness in order to achieve the best results and to transition patients to a healthy lifestyle. Jodi studied biology as an undergraduate at the State University of New York at Oneonta, and at the University of California at Los Angeles. She earned a BSc(Hons) in Physical Therapy at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. Her training emphasized advanced manual therapy skills including mobilization of the spine and peripheral joints. She then earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Simmons College. Jodi began her career at the Center for Pain Management and Physical Therapy in Brooklyn, NY. Relocating to New Jersey in 2000, she worked at Virtua Health system working in outpatient, and hospital based rehabilitation therapy. Jodi was employed at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center, for 4.5 years where she established an amputee support group and participated in a multi-center study on the effectiveness of acupuncture and PT treatment for patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. Jodi is a published author and her publications include a chapter titled “Fibromyalgia and other Non-Neuropathic Pain Syndromes” in a Rheumatology text edited by internationally recognized experts Dr. Wallace and Dr. Chauw. She has expertise in balance problems and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease. She is certified in LSVT BIG, which is an innovative and clinically-proven method for improving mobility and function in individuals with Parkinson disease, as well as aging and other conditions including stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. She also dedicates time to fall prevention programs with educational and functional training. Jodi is certified in The McKenzie Method: Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy which is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education that is trusted and used by practitioners and patients all over the world for back, neck and extremity problems. The McKenzie Method is a system of evaluation and treatment that emphasizes exercise, posture, and teaching people to independently manage their own condition. Jodi is originally from Westchester, New York, but now lives in Medford with her husband Lance Knaub, daughters Sage and Sierra, and son Aspen.   • Nate Steltz

    Doctor of Physical Therapy, Partner

    Dr. Nate Steltz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. He then attended Temple University, Philadelphia, PA for graduate school where he earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Nate is the Director of Operations of Breakthru Physical Therapy. Nate has had extensive clinical experiences which have offered him unique opportunities to broaden his skill set and enhance his treatment abilities. He had the opportunity to work as an assistant to the athletic trainer for the Philadelphia Flyers which provided him with exposure to the hands-on approach that is required for the successful rehabilitation of post-operative orthopaedic patients. Nate has also performed extensive research on the indications of physical therapy for patients undergoing total hip arthroplasties, non-operative management of full thickness rotator cuff tears, concussions, and lumbar stabilization exercise programs. Nate continues to have a strong interest in orthopaedic and sports therapy. He is an advocate for utilizing evidence based research to guide his clinical practice toward quality patient-centered care. He is planning on becoming a certified strength and conditioning specialist and is looking forward to continuing his education to enhance his manual therapy and orthopaedic skills. Additionally, he is an advocate for cancer research and awareness and he volunteers his time and efforts to many charitable causes including “Flyers Wives Fight for Lives”. Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, Nate now resides in Haddonfield, New Jersey. When not working, he enjoys exercising and playing golf.

  • Kevin Schnitzer

    Doctor of Physical Therapy, Partner

    Dr. Kevin Schnitzer is one of the senior therapists at BREAKTHRU and has been serving as the Director of Clinical Education. He had managed our Moorestown office for three years and did an excellent job developing the facility and providing the highest quality physical therapy care. Kevin has management responsibilities, but continues to maintain a full caseload in order to best serve our patients. Dr. Kevin Schnitzer earned his Bachelor’s in Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, his master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. He also received his personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and spent time working as a personal trainer. His final internship was here at BREAKTHRU where he made a name for himself early, getting excellent results on complicated patients. Kevin has a strong focus on manual therapy and specialty techniques including ART, SFMA, and Kinesiotaping. With the quality of care he provides, his dedication to patient satisfaction, and his love for orthopaedic, sports physical therapy, and paediatrics, he is an excellent asset here at BREAKTHRU. He has developed a specific interest and specialty in pediatric and adolescent orthopedics and sports medicine. Kevin takes a holistic approach to physical therapy and desires to help patients make lifestyle changes as needed to aid in healing and prevent recurrence of problems. He chooses to focus on the overall health of the patient, promoting independent exercise and fitness routines. He often sees patients that have failed therapy at other practices and enjoys the challenge of trying to get them better. His experience with advanced exercise physiology, biomechanics, and anatomy help him design the personalized therapeutic and fitness programs for his patients. Kevin places a high value on education with a strong desire to better his care through continuing education and staying current on the latest research. He recognizes the importance of educating all parties involved in patient care including the patient, their family, doctors, and other therapists. He has participated in several educational lectures including back pain prevention, ACL injury prevention, core strengthening for runners, and treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. He has been serving as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he assists in teaching physical therapy students musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physical therapy. Kevin participated in track and field in high school and enjoys martial arts. He received his black belt in jujitsu and was a national freestyle champion in 2001. Kevin and his beautiful wife Heather have two sons Samuel and Benjamin and are currently living in Mt. Laurel.

  • Nick Nolan

    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Dr. Nicholas Nolan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. He then continued his education at Temple University for graduate school where he earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. His final two internships were with BREAKTHRU where he received rave results with his evidence based care. Nicholas joined BREAKTHRU’s team to pursue his passion for Sports, Orthopedics, and Manual Physical Therapy. Nicholas has had extensive clinical experiences working with the orthopaedic population in various settings including trauma, ICU, post-operative, and outpatient sports rehabilitation. He has also been trained in work-hardening programs, tailoring treatment to meet the demands of one’s duties at work. He has a passion for and is skilled in spinal manipulation/mobilization techniques as well as various manual therapy interventions. He is a very hands-on therapist, giving each patient the attention they deserve. His hands-on skills include, but are not limited to, joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). Dr. Nolan combines these manual treatments with specific exercise training depending on the needs of the individual. Nicholas has performed extensive research in orthopaedic physical therapy including: knee osteoarthritis and manual therapy treatment techniques, manual therapy interventions and outcomes in patients with shoulder impingement, and core stabilization training. Nicholas is an advocate for utilizing evidence-based research to guide his clinical practice toward quality patient-centered care. He is working toward becoming an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Nicholas is a strong believer in patient empowerment and education to help prevent injuries before they occur again. Nicholas has a philosophy that fits well with BREAKTHRU’s holistic approach, empowering patients to achieve their goals and live a healthy, active lifestyle. Both Nicholas and BREAKTHRU believe in a continuum of care, beginning with physical therapy to treat impairments progressing to general fitness to maintain gains. Nicholas believes providing adequate time for his patient’s is essential for individuals to reach their goals.   • Kyle Hadden

    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Dr. Kyle Hadden grew up in Moorestown, New Jersey where he attended Moorestown High School, playing football and lacrosse. He then went on to McDaniel College where he continued playing lacrosse and majored in Exercise science. After undergrad, Kyle went to Arcadia University to pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, graduating in January 2014 after completing his final six month internship with us in BREAKTHRU’s Medford and Voorhees centers. He is passionate about orthopedic and sports related injuries, and helping clients to recover quickly and safely. Kyle has recently completed the McKenzie certification for spine and peripheral joints. He is also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Screen. He plans to pursue his Orthopedic Clinical Specialization(OCS), as well as diving further into movement systems approach and sports performance training. Kyle is a perfect fit for BREAKTHRU’s total body analysis approach, and incorporates fitness into therapy and as a continuation from therapy. Kyle identifies any “weak links” to the chain and systematically addresses them so clients do not reinjure themselves. Kyle has helped to coach lacrosse in his spare time both at the middle and high school levels. He also enjoys training and you will most likely see him exercising outside of his treatment hours when you come into BREAKTHRU’s center.

  • Dan Pinto

    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Dr. Dan Pinto attended Misericordia University for his undergraduate studies, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management. During his time at Misericordia, Dan was a member, captain, and Assistant Coach of the Misericordia Men’s Soccer Team, achieving NSCAA Academic All-Region Honors. Dan continued his studies at Misericordia University, receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Dan has had clinical experience in multiple orthopedic settings, treating many orthopedic conditions ranging from traumatic sport injuries to chronic neck and back pain. Dan has also had clinical experience in rehabilitation settings with focus on neurological conditions including spinal cord injuries, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, as well as traumatic orthopedic conditions such as lower extremity amputations. Dan focusses his treatment on an evidence based approach, and has presented research on evidence based interventions for physical therapy after a total knee replacement. Dan continues to strive for further education and expertise in the orthopedic setting, and is working towards becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). Dan’s philosophy on wellness and injury prevention/reoccurrence from an active and healthy lifestyle fits well with BREAKTHRU’s continuum of care from physical therapy to fitness. Dan likes to treat with a very personalized care, treating the individual and not just their impairments in order to help them achieve their goals. Dan also has a passion for community outreach, volunteering his time in order to educate the population about risk factors for injuries and when to seek the proper care. When not treating, Dan enjoys playing soccer, running, reading, surfing, and relaxing on the beach. Dan is an avid Flyers and soccer fan. Dan currently resides in Audubon, NJ.

  • Brandon Fredhoff

    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Dr. Brandon Fredhoff grew up in National Park, New Jersey where he attended Gateway Regional High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Arcadia University. From there he accomplished his goal of obtaining his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Widener University. During his time at Widener, Brandon completed several clinical rotations in a variety of settings which enabled him to work with patients on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. He gained experience working with patients in the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations. While studying for his Doctorate, Brandon was able to attend continuing education seminars on strength and conditioning training and manual therapy. Brandon firmly believes in Breakthru’s mission for the promotion of a transition from physical therapy to fitness for long term health and optimal performance. In addition, he strongly believes in developing patient relationships with each and every patient to ensure a comfortable and motivating work environment. Brandon’s professional interests include sports and orthopedics, professional development to improve manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription, and the business and marketing side of physical therapy. In his spare time, Brandon is an assistant Varsity boy’s basketball coach at Gateway Regional High School in which he focuses on skill development and injury prevention. Outside of physical therapy he enjoys watching and playing sports and spending quality time with his family, friends and his girlfriend. He is extremely excited to begin his career working at Breakthru with the many other skilled therapists that they have to offer.

  • Jon Eaton

    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Dr. Jonathan Eaton earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Liberty University in May of 2013. Here he obtained his Exercise Physiologist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). After graduating, he went on to follow his passion in pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, ultimately graduating in May 2016. Jon has had a wide-range of clinical experiences over the past seven years including working in the ICU and on the med surge floor at a local hospital, rehabilitating patients in the sub-acute setting and providing outstanding quality care to his patients in the outpatient setting. His main priority is to get his patients back to their maximum function and potential. Jon has extensive experience with post-operated replacements and repairs, musculoskeletal injuries, neurological impairments as well as cardiac rehabilitation. Jon first was introduced to Breakthru Physical Therapy and Fitness during his last clinical affiliation where he refined his manual skills and developed a more “hands on” approach to treatment. Due to his passion for therapy and dedication to providing the highest quality of care for his patients through evidence-based practice, Jon was offered a job and became the newest member of the team here at Breakthru. He understands and embraces the idea that providing quality care requires staying up-to-date on evidence-based research and continuing to advance his knowledge and skill set. Jon has worked with patients at every stage of rehabilitation and understands what it takes to get an individual back to their daily activities, whether it be sport or leisure. While waiting for his license to come in, Jon served as a personal trainer here at Breakthru, promoting fitness, health and wellness. He also enrolled and became certified in LSVT BIG program. With this certification he is able to provide higher quality of care to patients with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological deficits. Jon currently resides in Sewell, New Jersey. When he is not working, he enjoys playing soccer, hockey, golfing, and really anything that can be done outside!

  • Kelsey Jurist

    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Dr. Kelsey Jurist earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Miami University (Ohio) in 2014 along with a minor in Nutrition, and continued her education at George Washington University where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017. Kelsey is passionate about treating patients with orthopedic and sports related conditions, and has experience in strength and conditioning with college athletes. Kelsey recently developed a strength and conditioning program for a dance team, and assisted in leading weight room sessions for football players, swimmers, and tennis players at Miami University. Kelsey gained clinical experience primarily in an orthopedic setting in Herndon, VA and in Santa Ana, CA. In both of her experiences, she was exposed to and utilized manual therapy techniques on a variety of patients with orthopedic conditions. Kelsey also gained knowledge and expertise with aquatic therapy for patients with low back pain, post-surgical, and CRPS. While attending George Washington University, she volunteered for a class consisting of patients with Multiple Sclerosis to help prevent falls. Kelsey has also attended the Endurance Athlete Symposium in Richmond, VA where she learned specifics about treating endurance athletes, as well as a course held at George Washington University that focused on treating marathon runners. Kelsey is enthusiastic about Breakthru’s model of creating a pathway from rehabilitation to fitness and is also eager to pursue her Orthopedic Clinical Specialization (OCS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification(CSCS) in the near future. Kelsey currently resides in Voorhees, NJ and when she is not treating patients, she enjoys running marathons like the Flying Pig and Walt Disney World marathons, cycling, playing competitive soccer, and skiing.
